Svartvik hand paper mill was founded the summer 2002 like private company. Today there is only one other paper mill in Sundsvall - the SCA’s mill Ortviken. They make first class magazine and LWC paper.

The hand paper mill is situated in the middle of the so called “Träriket -Industriminnet Svartvik” (“The Wooden Kingdom- the industrial memories of Svartvik”) which in the old days was one of the 44 sawmills of the area at that time. Today you can find the following in the nearby area:
